War Surtax?

Just like a real Democrat… Raise taxes to bring down the American people some more. I agree that we need to pay as we go, but that is really simple for a congressman to suggest when they make so much more than the average citizen. Why not reduce BS spending on pet projects that were bills as earmarks? Why won’t the congress take a pay cut or travel less? I know I am being funny suggesting those things.

What could be another reason Hoyer wants to raise a War Surtax? Could it be that he believes if he starts to make the American people see a War Surtax on their income tax returns that they will be less likely to support the war? I wouldn’t doubt it.
