Obama’s Speach
News Story: Barack Obama‘s war: the final push in Afghanistan | World news | The Guardian:
While Obama did finally decided to send troops after 3 months, 30,000 is not even the minimum that Gen. McChrystal requested. But worst is that he placed a timetable for the enemy to wait to come. The timetable will do nothing but make it look like the 30,000 troops were just what was needed. However, if you were the enemy in your own country and knew your enemy was going to leave at a set date, would you fight or wait and plan? Well, that is exactly what I believe they will do, wait and plan until the day we leave and then they will raise back up and slaughter anyone that supported the US being there and attack another targets again.
You see, this actually shows just how little this President understands about war or the military. You can’t just give a timetable and think that everything will be great. But then again this same President believes that the enemy caught in a foreign country on a battlefield should get a civilian trail as if they were criminals and not enemy combatants. He needs to listen to those that know war and the military.
I will say that I find it funny this morning to here those that voted for Obama complain that he promised to leave the wars… Well I told many before the election he would just abandon the war and couldn’t. Gee, how many more promises will have to be broken before this people realize what they voted into office.
