“You guys make a pretty good photo op,”
News Story: White House aides: No Afghan decision before Thanksgiving:
Okay, I don’t normally rant about things that I feel personally insulted here. I try to keep the rants on topics about the politics and not to take things personal. But this one really pissed me off. As a Navy Vet and as an American citizen that truly honors those in uniform.
Obama, those men and women in the Armed Services are NOT photo ops! They are heroes that you should should be humbled by. They, unlike you, place their lives on the line to protect this great country! They, unlike you, put their lives on hold many times during their careers to ensure this great nation survives. They, unlike you, have hardships that cost them their time with their children, their marriages due to time away from their spouses, they miss special events like the birth of their children, family weddings, and being able to tend to their dying family member. They are NOT photo ops for any ones whelm! They are HEROES that deserve to be treated as such!
To my brothers and sisters in the Armed Services. Thank you for your service. Thank you for doing what is needed to keep this nation strong.
To the families of those service members. Thank you for allowing your family member to protect, honor, and keep America strong. You may not endure the battlefields, but to have to endure the hardships of a missing family member while they are away. You are left to pay the bills, raise the family, and get little in return.
God Bless you my Brothers and Sisters and their families. Thank you.
